As from 21st March we have become “The Kingsbury Community Enterprise Ltd.” This was the name our members at the November AGM put forward and selected. As a result of becoming an IPS the good news for all members is that the money in the bank is now owned by them all and in the near future all the members will be converted to shareholders. As an IPS we have adopted the Model Rules  for Community Ownership, and are sponsored by The Plunkett Foundation.  These rules replace the Interim Constitution that the Steering Committee were following previously.

Members: Membership is the means by which the Enterprise is owned by the Community, providing Members with the access to information, a voice in the affairs of the enterprise and the opportunity to be elected to a representative role in its governance.

Management Committee: Subject to the Rules, the Management Committee manages the affairs of the Enterprise and is collectively responsible for anything done by or in the name of the Enterprise.

The secretary is the secretary to the Enterprise and acts as secretary to the Management Committee.
