Next Event, one not to be missed!!!
The Red Line Company's production of
David Tristram's
Inspector Drake and The Black Widow

World famous, hopeless and hapless, Inspector Drake and his equally qualified sidekick Sgt. Plod (aka Rob Prince and John McGrouther) descend on Stembridge with perhaps their silliest adventure yet...
When oil tycoon John Johnson is found with a huge sword in his back, it looks like a straightforward case of dying illegally. But things in Drake’s world are never as they seem. Why was Johnson badly disguised as his own wife? Why had he eaten a tortoise? And why do all the women in the house look so similar? For once, Sgt. Plod thinks he knows all the answers. And so he should, since he’s relating events through a series of flashbacks, so he knows how it all ends. But does Plod’s recurring nightmare involving a dead Inspector Drake spell the end for our famous sleuth? Who knows, for when the Black Widow lays her deadly trap, it’s just a matter of time... (cue spooky music!)
Red Line Theatre Company, well versed in David Tristram’s entertaining series of tales of sleuthery and skulduggery, brings Drake and Plod back to the Somerset circuit and to Kingsbury School, Stembridge, for a night of highly entertaining silliness, with all profits going to the Kingsbury Episcopi Community Shop project.
Olwen Herridge once again joins the gruesome twosome to bring you Inspector Drake and The Black Widow, possibly the best entertainment you’ll find in Stembridge on 18th September 2010!
So book your ticket now, bring along a friend or nine and see if our heroes can survive the deadly attack of The Black Widow!
